I'm not sure what positive PR that BBC Chairman Samir Shah thought would be gained by accepting an invitation to be interviewed by Rod Liddle on Times Radio last week. Rod didn't rip into Samir in the style of his think-pieces about the BBC; indeed the pair were quite friendly.  That doesn't excuse Shah's jocular approach to serious editorial issues at the end of the long interview....
