It can't be long before one of the BBC's best-paid pensioners, former DDG Mark Byford, returns to Auntie on Thought for the Day.
He's now touring his latest oeuvre, "The Annunciation: A Pilgrim's Quest" (676 pages, £44), with a September panel appearance at the Chiswick Book Festival (director: former BBC Media Correspondent Torin Douglas), and an October interview in Winchester with honorary lay canon and former BBC presenter Debbie Thrower (Mr Byford is a full-blown lay canon).
