Do I detect a hint of Welsh heresy from embattled BBC Radio Cymru Editor Betsan Powys ? A sense, just a sense, that a week's worth of live Eisteddford coverage might not be an audience grabber ? That THE competitive festival of Welsh performance may not always be resounding with music and laughter ?
Radio 2 Cymru is 'popping up' during this year's Urdd National Eisteddfod in Llanelwedd, Brecon and Radnorshire, offering an 'alternative' to the afternoon sessions on the main channel. Betsan says "We’re looking forwards to hear more new voices on the airwaves this week so that we can enjoy more laughter and more music. If you’ve had enough of listening to the competing on stage by mid-afternoon, it’s not the end of the world!”
