Apology

Dear readers,

I'm out and about on mobile only today, which makes it difficult to provide proper scrutiny of the first BBC Annual Plan, and, in particular, identifying winners and losers in budget terms. It's worth noting that the BBC forecasts a £60m deficit over the year.

The 68 pages are an interesting mix of old and new KPIs, sprinkled through lists of new-ish programmes and series, which are only helpful if balanced against cancellations. There's only one mention of Imagine, which I missed at first pass, but non-stop bigging up of Civilisations.  It seems to have been slightly rushed - stitched hastily, rather than haute couture, and not, at time of writing, all translated into Welsh.

More when I'm back at a bigger screen...
