Pegged out

In or out ?  Alan Yentob, present for yesterday's Culture UK launch at the BBC, is missing from the 2017 programme of the UK's Greatest Tented Culture Fest at Hay-on-Wye, running from the end of May.

Interlocutors from the BBC include George Alagiah (twice), Amol Rajan (twice) and Rebecca Jones (twice). Clemency Burton-Hill also makes two appearances (she's on t'Committee), but former BBC World warhorse Nik Gowing (also on t'Committee) is on stage no less than four times - once on his own. Committee membership is no guarantee of a gig - there's no James Naughtie.

BBC News past and present is represented by Jeremy Paxman, Jeremy Bowen, John Simpson and Evan Davis.  Evan will have the most recent book to plug - his quickie "Post-Truth: Why We Have Reached Peak Bullshit and What We Can Do About It" is only published on May 25.
