Some updated BBC diversity figures, from a new FOI response.
At the end of February, 57.5% of staff in BBC News were women, counting heads on an equivalent full-time basis. Yet within the management grades SM1 and SM2 on their own, the figure falls to 36.5%.
In Radio, the gender balance is almost exactly 50/50.
In TV (putting 'Content' and 'Studios' staff together), women have the edge, at almost 55%.
The target for the BBC as a whole is 50/50. In March, DG Lord Hall said the organisation was just 2% shy of the figure.
