Old country

No sign, as yet, of BBC Network Radio supremo Bob Shennan giving up on "Country". He was on hand at the Intercontinental at the start of the weekend's C2C country festival, handing out gongs on behalf of the Country Music Association.

Spookily, the international awards went to Radio 2's Bob Harris; Radio 2's favourite UK country band The Shires and UK-based country publicist Richard Wootton. From left: CMA CEO Sarah Trahern, Wootton and CMA Board members Milly Olykan (O2) and Bob Shennan.
