Operator

Charlotte Moore, Director of the BBC's new Content division, has advertised for a Chief Operating Officer.

In the old days, when Content was plain old TV, Bal Samra was styled Managing Director TV (as well as his other title as Commercial Director BBC). From this role, we are told, he played a major part in the failed renegotiation with Love Productions for new deal on Bake-Off.

The dual role presumably drives his salary of £322,800 - higher than that afforded to James Purnell. Does it stay like that when Charlotte gets a COO ?  Or will it be Bal ?
