Heid bummer

You have until the end of the month to apply to be Director of BBC Scotland. If they get a shift on, you can be in post to be part of the team making a decision on the Scottish Six before Christmas.

You'll need a little business speak. It's 'essential' that you're "commercially astute, with experience of being accountable for efficient and effective financial stewardship of public funds or commercial management of a P&L". I think this is shorthand for running the profit and loss statement of a limited company, rather than 'port and lemon'.

The specification reveals that you'll be working with the Director of Nations and Regions, Ken MacQuarrie, the other Nations Directors and 'lead directors in Salford, Birmingham and Bristol'. We know about Alice Webb being Duchess of MediaCity and Joe Godwin, Baron of Birmingham. Have I missed the appointment of a Bailiff of Bristol ? Was it advertised ?
