Slasher

The Press Association, which is usually on the money in these matters, claims that the BBC's Annual Report, out later today, will say that 94% of controllable spend is now funnelled into programme-making and delivery, with just 6% spent "on running the organisation".

If that's right, it's a remarkable achievement in 12 months - the split claimed last year was 92%/8%. Cutting running costs by a quarter in a year ? No wonder Anne Bulford is now Deputy DG and heading for a pay rise, eh ?
