Game

There's no approval, yet, for BBC Studios, the all-singing, all-dancing new division lead by Mark Linsey, to move to limited company status yet.

But, presumably to protect the brand, a limited company of that name was formed back in February last year, a full month before the BBC went public with the idea. It has one share held by one director, Andrew Blankfield (Let's hope he doesn't go all funny at the AGM).

Andrew is a solicitor with Fieldfisher, who acquired quite a bit of BBC business in 1997, when the company took over Allison and Humphreys. Andrew has been working with BBC Worldwide and on YouView; he's a pianist, a mover and shaker in the Spitalfields Festival, and a lover of baroque music and grouse.
