Outgoing EastEnders boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins has landed a job as Head of Television for indie Blueprint Pictures, chaired by Pete Czernin and Graham Broadbent with Diarmuid McKeown as MD.

Mr Czernin and Mr Boradbent produced "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" and "In Bruges"; Czernin is heir to the Howard De Walden estate. The company are working with BBC Films on a picture about failed-round-the-world-yachtsman Donald Crowhurst.

  • No sign yet of a replacement for Sean O'Connor, new EastEnders boss, back at The Archers. News of Sean's move from parental custody of Ambridge came in February; he was said to be staying with the R4 team until 'late spring'.  Is he now running both the BBC's top soaps in a new, simplified structure ?
