Lisa Opie is the latest appointment made by BBC Studios boss Mark Linsey to his board. Lisa will run the adjective 'Factual'. She fills the gap left by the departure last month of Natalie Humphreys.
Lisa's business sense was honed with Flextech, Channel 5 and indie TwoFour, before joining Auntie in 2012 as Controller, Business, Knowledge and Daytime. She's also co-owner of top Berkhamsted cafe 'Here' in the Lower Kings Road.
So, three of Mark's personal choices have come from Bal Samra's 'television business operations' team. Only Jackie Myburgh, with the out-of-scope Children's remit, and Tamara Howe, Controller of Business for Comedy and Entertainment, remain to keep Bal happy.
