Staying classy

The Voice, the series where obscure singers are put on tv and then returned to obscurity, finished its BBC existence in the company of 4.52m viewers.

Britain's Got Talent, where speciality acts from across Europe pad out a roster of attention-seekers seeking judgement from attention-seekers, attracted 9.03m viewers.

The BBC's relentless physical humiliation of punters in Lycra, Can't Touch This, billed as Entertainment by one Alan Tyler, dipped to 2.62m viewers. Alan is one talent yet to be poached by ITV.  Alan is currently seeking programmes that bring ‘the visceral thrill of the unfiltered' to BBC2. He's the man to find them.
