Selling BBC News

There's still time to apply for the role of North America Vice President of Marketing for BBC Global News Limited, part of BBC Worldwide, working alongside distributor AMC.

Among your tasks: "Formulating a focused and effective North America World News and bbc.com consumer and BBC Advertising marketing strategy, detailing key objectives, deliverables and evaluation. Responsible for the delivery of all NA consumer marketing activity including but not limited to above the line campaigns, barter deals, social media, online campaigns"

You'll have to "identify key events (industry and sector) where the profile of BBC Advertising can be raised through speaking opportunities, client engagement programmes and agency collaboration that maximise sales team visibility and BBC Advertising positioning."

And you'll be expected to "champion the needs and requirements of the NA audience back to the global centre in London to ensure centrally delivered activity works for the NA audience."  I'm sure that doesn't mean moaning at editorial teams to provide more news that American audiences like...
