Royal precedence

A very healthy average of 6.3m viewers watched BBC1's Elizabeth at 90 from 9pm last night - another production from the safe hands of John Bridcut.

For those who debated whether or not the untimely death of Prince should have been the lead in the subsequent 10.10pm News Bulletin, Huw Edwards (strangely not presenting at this time of national celebration) was in no doubt Auntie made the right call in sticking with Her Maj.

Sophie Raworth at Windsor and Clive Myrie in the studio enjoyed the highest rated 10pm (or 10.10pm) bulletin of the year so far, with 5.7m viewers, 35.6% of the available audience.
