More than half the viewers of Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway switched elsewhere at its conclusion last night, leaving hypnotism hooterama You're Back In The Room with less than 3m viewers for the first time.
Formats are tricky things - this is licenced from BBC Worldwide, working with indie Tuesday's Child. There's already a French version, Hypnose le Grand Jeu. This year there'll be versions in Slovenia, Colombia and Australia. And BBC Worldwide has sold the format to Fox in the United States, who will be producing eight hour-long shows. Judging by the trend of ITV audiences, that may be a few too many.
