Much of a muchness

The clue may have been in the title. Too Much TV, the television-will-eat-itself show stripped across five weeks of BBC2 at 6.30pm, staggered to the end of week one, and might not last the course in the slot.

Monday launched with 900k viewers in the overnight ratings; Tuesday brought 760k, Wednesday 700k and Thursday 510k. The slot can bring audiences above 1.5m for quizzes and railway journeys, even against the BBC1 behemoth that is the early evening regional news.

What will uber-Controller Charlotte Moore do with it ? Hope for rubberneckers to swell the figures for the impending car crash, or shift it to mid-morning ?
