Delighted to see that Egon Zehnder recruitment executive Dom Loehnis (David Cameron's chum) is running the recruitment of a new Chairman for Channel 4, on behalf of Ofcom. It closes tomorrow, if you think you're man (or woman) enough. The only reference I can see to the likely privatisation of the C4 family is oblique. "The ideal candidate would be approachable and outgoing but have the strength and resilience to chair a company with demanding external and internal issues and challenging commercial objectives."
'Twas Dom who led outsiders a merry dance when Lord Patten lighted upon George Entwistle as his preferred DG. More recently he was in charge of tapping up non-BBC talent, when Lord Hall decided up Peter Salmon to head BBC Studios.
