The traffic between the BBC and the UK's seats of learning continues apace. Abigail Appleton, the current Creative Director of BBC Learning, is to be the new Principal and CEO of Hereford College of Arts.
Abigail (Stroud High School and Balliol, Oxford) has been based in Salford Quays since 2012; previous London roles included Head of Speech Programmes for Radio 3, Editor of Night Waves and Chief Producer, Radio Arts Unit. She joined the BBC as a production trainee in 1989, having added a taught M.Phil in English Literature to her CV.
