I don't think it's a spoof. On the same day as the job advert appears for BBC Director of Better, we also got one for BBC Controller of Drama Commissioning.
This is presumably seeking a replacement for Ben Stephenson. It appears in Broadcast, though not yet on the BBC jobs website. Is that a hint that the internal field, now bigger thanks to Ben, is lacking ? The text requires candidates to be 'creative' (x 4) 'exceptional' (x 2) and dedicated to 'quality' (x 4).
The salary is said to be 'competitive' - Ben's package was £247,800.
