Transformer transformed

In another defenestration at Telegraph Towers, Richard Ellis, Director of Talent and Transformation, is off to take a "sabbatical" in Australia. This is an unusual concept in newspapers, but, we are assured, "Richard will continue to work for TMG as a consultant and will return to the office in London on a regular basis".

Richard's been close to the top of the turmoil in Victoria over the past two years, spending seven months as Acting Director of Content before the arrival of Jason Seiken.  His digital blueprint was then tossed aside, but insiders say the Ellis structure has been re-appearing in recent weeks.

Richard joined the Telegraph group in 2001. Prior to that, his moment in the spotlight came at the launch of Sky News in 1989, when he was the first reporter on screen, covering a story on cash-for-human-kidneys in Germany. Tonsorially, time has moved on for Richard.
