On the road again

It's the detail that matters sometimes in journalism - so when Mark Byford met students as part of Leeds Trinity's annual Journalism Week today, he started by pointing out that he'd been billed as "former deputy Director General". He's still there, at least until the Royal Wedding.

From their tweets, the enterprising students fired in some topical questions, including asking if producers had been leant on to use "savings" rather than "cuts", and about the substantial Byford pension - Byford denies knowledge of journalists being told to put 'rosy slant' on cuts and justifies pension as 'within contractual rights'   Search Twitter with hash-tag #ltjw.
