Oh, the joys of a plain-speaking Aussie. Dr Adrian Graves, who boast the title of Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Registrar and Secretary at Salford University, was taking the keys to four floors of the Orange building at MediaCityUK, in front of Peel Media, Bovis and other guests, and said "We know we will have ITV in this very building now." "No comment" was the only remark from the Peel corner. Place later found one of the building contractors who said the ITV deal with Peel was "90% there".
A spokesman for ITV said: "No deal has been done. We are continuing to examine a number of options."
The students have the bottom four floors, and will move in once Overbury complete fit-out, in September next year. The top seven floors are vacant - it would make economic sense to fit them out as part of the same contract. But will the Granada lot like sharing lifts with students ?
