GG to the rescue

For those puzzled about this morning's new face on BBC1, it belongs to Gavin Grey. He's previously presented on Westcountry tv, then moved to reading the news on Central South based in Abingdon, and then Meridian Tonight from Newbury.

He seems also to have worked/be working as an "Account Director" for PR and freelance agency Paul Smith Associates, based at the beating heart of things in Lower Froyle, Hampshire.  This is their blurb. "Gavin Grey has been a broadcast journalist for more than 20 years. He has worked as a reporter/presenter in national and regional newsrooms for ITV and the BBC as well as Sky News. Gavin has also media trained some of the country's top executives and helped multinational companies with their crisis communication strategies"

Most recently you'll have seen and heard Gavin more abroad, where he's styled as London correspondent for a range of outlets, including NineMSN in Australia, and Radio and Television Hong Kong.   In 2007 he turned up as "independent" yet apparently paid chairman at a series of meetings for the West Sussex Primary Care Trust.
