"Critics have said the BBC appeared to be deliberately abandoning the part of its audience that professed the Christian faith." Thus The Telegraph's Easter message.
The critics quoted boil down to one.....
Andrea Williams, the chief executive of Christian Concern, said: “The BBC’s motto, ‘Nation shall speak peace unto nation’, is Biblical in origin. The more the BBC seeks to forget and minimise the primary role of the Christian faith shaping this nation, the darker all things will become. Easter reminds us of Christ’s victory over death, which is a good-news message for us all.”
Andrea Rose Minichiello Williams, 58, (Law degrees from Cardiff University and the University of Pisa) is the founder and CEO of Christian Concern and the Christian Legal Centre, headquartered in Wimpole St, W1. It runs a yearly course for passionate young Christians called the Wilberforce Academy. The address is also the base of the The International Federation for Therapeutic and Counselling Choice - "Providing information and insight into care for those leaving unwanted LGBTQ+ behaviours, identities, feelings and attractions"; and the charity Faith Truth & Hope, of which she is a trustee.
The co-founder of Christian Concern is Adegboyega Ayodeji Omooba; he also runs the National Church Leaders' Forum, from Wimpole St.
In a 2019 interview Andrea said: "If we allow Islam to rise then our very freedom to preach the gospel will be under attack."
