Sage green

Happy birthday to new BBC Chairman Richard Sharp, now 65. He's planning to do four days a week in the role and give his £160k salary to charity (maybe something funding free licences for the disadvantaged 75 year-olds ?)

Many BBC execs hark back to the times of three-day a week chairs, ideally, with not much of an eye for detail. One fears that's not Mr Sharp.  Will he choose the privacy of a panelled room in 'old' BH, or a glass box in the new bit, albeit cocooned in a generous muff of management assistants ?

One of his legacies at the Royal Academy is the Richard Sharp Council Room (here decked out for a drinks do). Hard to replicate at Broadcasting House.
