In May 2015 I set up an imaginary
Whittingdale ISA, putting an imaginary £3k each into five media companies that might have expected to do well under a Conservative Culture Secretary. The portfolio was Sky, ITV, BT, Trinity Mirror and Johnston Press. Today, the portfolio is trading at 50% of its opening value. Over the same period, the FTSE 100 has risen from 6,960 to 7,416.
