I am delighted to read that, while countries and banks may see their credit ratings tumbling, the BBC stays double AA rated (second from top) in eyes of Fitch Ratings. They've reviewed the two finance deals managing the rent collection from
Broadcasting House and
Pacific Quay, and say the outlook is stable, because of the continued credit strength of Auntie. The only thing odd about this is that the final payments come in 2033 and 2034 respectively - that's more than a few years beyond the current BBC Charter, which runs out in 2017.
