Moving on

John Hardie, the ITN CEO who in March promised to halve the organisation's 19.6% gender pay gap in five years, is leaving the job to someone else. He's standing down in December. Seven years of profit growth since in he arrived in 2009 stalled slightly last year, because of "inflationary pressures".

He leaves a lack of diversity at board level - currently one woman, six blokes and no-one from an ethnic minority.

Even at half, the ITN gender pay gap will be wider than at the BBC - officially reported today as 7.6%.
