Bespoke

Whilst BBC DG Lord Hall has been trying to reduce the numbers of senior managers in the organisation, it seems some may have just been renamed 'leaders'.

The Human Resources team is looking for another member of their Leadership Development team, who apparently 'face off' to divisions, without necessarily knowing all the rules of ice hockey. This Leadership group contains 2,300 managers and leaders...more than one in eight of the workforce.

The Leadership Development team is made up of specialist HRBPs who face off to a division to provide bespoke leadership and personal development solutions and also undertake OD and talent initiatives, often across the BBC. They create and implement department wide learning and development strategies and bespoke leadership interventions. The team has ownership of pan BBC OD tools such as performance management, digital learning, succession planning and leadership development programmes. Collectively the team is responsible for developing our 2,300 managers and leaders to ensure that they are able to lead the BBC to meet its strategic ambitions and to make it an even greater place to work.
