How's the patient ?

The Lygo strategy worked better last night for ITV. Dawn French-hosted Little Big Shots attracted an average of 4.05 viewers from 8pm, according to the overnight ratings, and plenty of them were under 15. Benidorm followed, and the audience grew to 4.67m - a share of 23.1m. So the Nightly Show improved, scoring 2.01m (12.9%).

It was a more relaxed show, with guest Rob Brydon unfazed by Walliams' churlishness. And you can't beat a bit of camel wee to make an audience roar with laughter, can you ? By then, Walliams' mother had left the theatre.

There was still a substantial turn-off and away during the Nightly Show, leaving the News at Ten Thirty with 1.2m (10.0%).

Walliams has been dealt a sticky hand tonight, with guests boxer David Haye and the cast of The Walking Dead. Can Prime Suspect deliver to The Walking Wounded ?
