Pal Joey

Former Sky deputy political editor Joey Jones must now be in with a good chance of working inside No 10, after ten years, off and on standing outside for the news channel. Joey left Sky when he missed out on Adam Boulton's job to Faisal Islam. In May this year he joined Theresa May's Home Office team as official spokesman.

It doesn't necessarily mean preferential treatment for Sky hacks in future; the BBC had their man Craig Oliver at David Cameron's side for five years - but still lost out in the casting of big debates, and were even stood aside for Oliver-preferred outlets like GMTV.
