Jana Bennett now runs the History Channel in the US. She was previously Director of Television for the BBC from 2002, and moved to BBC Worldwide in 2011 as President, Worldwide Networks and Global iPlayer - a role from which she was made redundant the following year.
In her speaker cv we read " While at BBC, Bennett determined the shape of BBC television and related online services and helped franchises like Top Gear become global franchises."
While at the History Channel, Jana has now decided to cancel one significant BBC Worldwide global franchise, Top Gear USA.
