Migration

With major movements of people making headlines around the world, Charles Sales in the Daily Mail says that 80 staff from BBC Wales will be covering the national side's progress, or lack of it, in the Euro 2016 tournament in France. That's around one in three of the BBC party of 258, and, by my calculation, 6.4% of the BBC Wales/Cymru workforce.

Meanwhile non-sporting tv fans are digesting the fact that, most evenings in August, the BBC will be running three live broadcast channels, BBC1/Sport, BBC2 and BBC4/Sport. And the big events in Rio are all after midnight UK, so you'll have two channels of build-up heats and repeats in primetime. And BBC Four has to cover a few Proms as well, on Fridays and Sundays.
