Now back to normal service: tracking Alan Yentob. He was in London on BBC White Paper day, attending the London launch of Lyndall Hobbs' autobiography 'A Girl From Oz'.
He hasn't (yet?) been papped in Cannes. He's been a regular at the Charles Finch dinner in the Hotel du Cap-Eden Roc, but this year, the snappers only spotted Mick Jagger, Mariella Frostrup, Jemima Khan, Rebecca Hall and Dominic West.
Al is still billed as Chairman of BBC Films, though it's unclear if this is a salaried role. I can't find any BBC Films in the Cannes programme.
