The Night Manager ended its first US outing on AMC this week, and the average overnight viewing figure was just under 900k. Does this mean they'll stump up for a second series ?
Each of the six episodes was said to cost £3m. The BBC's contribution hasn't been disclosed, but has certainly delivered audiences, with overnight ratings for each show around 6m, and catch-up and on-demand viewing pushing totals to nearly 10m per episode.
AMC's incentive to viewers late to The Night Manager is that the catch-up episodes will feature Tom Hiddleston's bottom, missing from the first transmission.
