And the news from Hilton on Park Lane is of moderate success for BBC News from their 20 nominations in the Royal Television Society Journalism Awards.

Stewart White of Look East won Regional Presenter; Benjamin Zand from the Victoria Derbyshire programme was Young Hack; the BBC News online care calculator won the technology prize; Jeremy Bowen's sit-down with Assad was deemed best interview; and Newsnight picked up scoop of the year for work on Kids Company.

Points West was top regional news entry, for coverage of the Becky Watts murder trial, and BBC Wales won the regional current affairs gong for an edition of Week In Week Out.

But Sky was News Channel of the Year; their Live At Five was best News Programme; Tunisia won them the international coverage prize; and Alex Crawford was Grown-up TV Hack of the Year.
