Pith

Clementi is just around the corner, with exciting news for BBC governance nerds. New job titles a-go-go are possible, and there'll be fun to be had speculating on who'll get them.

We're pretty certain to get a unitary board, which, in my view, slightly sandpapers the role of Director General to, effectively, Chief Executive Officer, and increases the importance of the Chairman. Will Rona and Tone step seamlessly into the new holes - or might both regard themselves as interims who have steered the liner through troubled waters, and now want a new crew to take the helm ?

Will Sharon White at Ofcom get a new No 2 to run an 'accountability body' at Riverside House ? How will Scotland get a say in the action ? And, of course, how much will these new people be paid ?
