Big message from Little
Former BBC correspondent Allan Little uses the language better than most - and his Stirling lecture, on why we should preserve Auntie, is straightforward, lucid and well-argued. It's a plea for mixed public service broadcasting, to preserve the conventional running orders of news bulletins unfettered from the pressures of commerce and politicians. It's well worth a read - you'd rather someone inside the organisation was expressing the argument so clearly.
