I wonder who gave Newsnight their 'exclusive' about the proposed withdrawal of Government funding from the charity Kids Company.

I hope it hasn't come as a surprise to the chairman of the trustees, Alan Yentob, BBC Creative Director.

• Friday update: The Guardian reports Kids Company founder Camila Batmanghelidjh stepped down last night, and says the Government wanted both her and Alan Yentob to go as the price for continued funding.
