Metal Guru

Odd that a top journalist at a Fleet Street newspaper would want to "step down" weeks away from a General Election. But then Jason Seiken is not like other hacks, and the Telegraph he leaves is not like the Telegraph he found when arrived eighteen months ago.

Making the announcement, Murdoch MacLennan demonstrated his skills as a wordsmith, built on years as a production boss. "We completely understand Jason’s regrettable decision to move on to new opportunities now that he has completed his work here. He has been a much valued colleague, providing a great deal of input into identifying future strategy for the Telegraph Media Group to ensure we remain a world-class and commercially successful media organisation. We wish him well."

Meanwhile Jason's Twitter feed continues to share life-enhancing quotes.

To save you searching, Isak Dinesen is one of the pseudonyms used by Danish author Karen Blixen, and the quote is from Seven Gothic Tales.
