Whilst we celebrate all fundraising efforts for the perennially successful Children in Need, there are one or two questions that need to be asked about the BBC's performance in a charity football match against an MPs XI.

This side was captained by Director of Strategy and Digital James "Jim" Purnell (left), formerly with Demon Eyes in the Thames League. The stellar squad featured Mark Chapman (5Live/MotD), Robbie Savage, Phil Neville, and at least three other managers from the Strategy Division, including one Lean Six Sigma Manager who boasts the title Master Black Belt. Yet they lost 5-2.
